To infinity, and beyond!
Big smiles, big laughs, and big fun were the highlights of LYF’s Big Day Out 3!
LYF kicked our “Big Day Out 3” off by heading to Scitech’s planetarium and taking a journey through space and time on the giant screen! We explored the stars, planets, and the mysteries of the universe. It was a mind-blowing experience that had everyone gazing in awe and sparking some great conversations about space and science.
But the Scitech fun didn’t stop there! After the planetarium was done, we headed into scitech for some hands-on activities to get everyone thinking and experimenting. From racing virtual athletes to making tornadoes and learning about electrical currents, it was the perfect mix of education and fun!
Our friends from Telethon were on hand to guide us through lung function tests, which was both fascinating and a great reminder of the importance of looking after our health.
But what’s a BDO without burning off some energy?! Our sports challenges and games took the energy levels through the roof!
From friendly competitions to the ultimate tug-of-war showdown, the laughs and cheers echoed through the day. Seeing everyone cheer each other on and embrace the spirit of teamwork was truly heartwarming.
Taking a slower moment for crafts with Demi, teens and volunteers alike got to make some papermache decorations that were used for our Party With A Purpose fundraiser! The crew from Headspace came down and we had a moment to reflect on friendships, our inner circles and our networks.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Big Day Out 3. It’s these shared experiences that strengthen our community and remind us of the amazing impact we can have together. We can’t wait to see you all at our next BDO! 💙
