Leading Youth Forward (LYF) provides long-term, one-to-one mentoring and large group activities for teens in years 7 -10. Our goal is to provide positive role models and nurture an inclusive community for some of Perth’s most vulnerable young people, focusing on youth development, layered with fun and engaging activities funded by LYF.

Leading Youth Forward supports various volunteers including mentors, freelancers and event helpers over the course of the program. Our experienced Committee will carefully match you with a young person and provide you with training, plus ongoing support throughout the program. At LYF we are in this together and no volunteer goes it alone!
Leading Youth Forward (LYF) is an incorporated association and registered charity with strong corporate governance.
The Volunteer Committee meets monthly, to reflect, plan and engage for future LYF events.
All donations and fundraising efforts directly support our LYF program which involves approximately 80 vulnerable WA-Teens each year.
LYF is currently seeking corporate partnerships for the long-term sustainability of our not-for-profit.
LYF is immensely grateful for donations received from the community.

LYF fosters an inclusive and supportive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and gender diverse, intersex, asexual, queer and questioning people (LGBTQIA+). In our community, everyone is encouraged to live their lives as their authentic selves.
